BEAM's program is designed to meet students where they are, inspire their further love of mathematics, and create a realistic pathway toward careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
Summer After 6th Grade
Students first get to know BEAM at BEAM 6, in the summer after 6th grade. They spend five weeks learning math and building community, both the foundation for future advancement.
Summer After 7th Grade
BEAM's long-term commitment to students begins in the summer after 7th grade, when students spend three weeks learning challenging math while living on a college campus.
8th Grade Focus
During 8th grade, the focus shifts to two critical milestones for later success: careful high school selection and completing Algebra 1.
High School Mentoring
BEAM stays involved with students throughout high school, providing support toward high school readiness, college admissions, and offering math and computer science enrichment courses.
