BEAM aims to serve students who are historically marginalized in STEM. This includes students who are Black, Latinx, Indigenous; students from low-income families; first-generation college goers; and those not already tapped into academic enrichment. In addition, BEAM is aware that female and nonbinary students are historically excluded from STEM fields; we design classrooms where students of all gender identities can thrive.

Our Los Angeles students live in Central LA, in the neighborhoods around Koreatown and Pico-Union.

Our New York students come from across the city.
